how to find new rivers to paddle

​Are you tired of paddling the same rivers and want to find new places to paddle?
This bank based session aims to give you the tools to search out new paddle possibilities.
This session is run by Jess who is writing a guidebook for sup Rivers in Scotland, so she has a lot of knowledge and practice on this topic.

These sessions are aimed at paddlers with no experience of whitewater SUP but a good level of flat water SUP experience and those who have done some whitewater SUP sessions before, however are still learning and want to develop their skills on G2 water

Spanning the length of the whole day we will go at the rate that works best for you, allowing you to get on and off the water when it suits you as well as giving you time to process everything you are being taught without the pressure of making the most of your time on the water.

Unlock the best feeling on the river. Explore surf basics of stance, position and finesse and build a great foundation to style your rides. We will be using the most appropriate features anywhere on the course to achieve your best.

Intermediate sessions

These sessions are aimed at paddlers with a good amount of experience on G2 rivers however are looking to move onto harder whitewater. These sessions would likely see you moving onto sections of the main course at HPP.

Intermediate surf

 

Taking our boards back to their roots. Fine tuning your rides, go bigger go smoother. This session will deliver the tools you need to surf in style. We will be using features on the main course to suit ability and personal aims.

Taking your skills

from G2 to G3

This session will help you progress your skills and hopefully give you the confidence to start moving into a G3 environment. We will look at key river running skills including how to break in and out on faster flowing water, how to confidently punch through stoppers, and how we can measure our height to limit swims on WW.

Getting the most out of hpp

Throughtout this session, we will be helping you build your confidence on the main course at HPP. We will  work on refinig your river running skills, the best lines to take down sections of the course, as well as gaining some confidence swimming down rapids.
