This five-day course is designed to give you everything you need to confidently work toward your White Water Leader qualification.

You'll cover the full leadership and safety syllabus, with time built in to focus on your individual needs, whether that’s personal paddling skills, river reading, rescues, or group management. You’ll leave with a clear action plan, a thorough review of your progress, and a strong understanding of your next steps.

We kick off the course with white water safety and leadership strategies, so you can spend the rest of the week actively leading, managing rescues, and adapting in real-time on the river.

​

This approach not only maximizes your development, but also covers your Paddle UK prerequisite, saving you the need for additional training or travel, while ensuring you understand what level you should be operating at for assessment.

• A Kayak appropriately outfitted for white water

• Suitable clothing for the environment(dry suit/splits)

• Appropriate footwear for the advanced environment

• Suitable White water helmet

• Suitable White water paddle

• Suitable White water Buoyancy Aid 

• Any snack and drinks for on the water

 

Requirements

 

• This course requires the learners not to be new to the moderate water environment and can happily paddle on grade 2/3

• It is also beneficial if you have a reliable white water roll

• All participants must be 18 or over
